Re-appeal for information following fatal road traffic collision

We are re-appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision on the M40 near High Wycombe following the sad death of the victim today.

A grey motorcycle, a black Volkswagen Polo, and a blue Hyundai Tucson were involved in the collision on the London-bound carriageway between junction four for High Wycombe and three for Loudwater at around 8.40pm on Saturday (21/2).

The motorcycle's pillion passenger, a 19-year-old woman, who suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, has sadly died. A specially-trained officer is supporting her next of kin and our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.

We have released the arrested motorcycle rider on police bail while both car drivers are assisting our investigation and no other injuries have been reported.
